Adding new topic: Sustainability and Environmental Guidelines

[edit]

The following text is proposed as a new topic for the International Institute for Conservation. It is proposed by me as a new editor to Wikipedia with a declared interest in the International Institute for Conservation, however the topic is of international importance given the wider focus on sustainability and climate change, and to enable other editors globally to add relevant information for everyone to access. To show the importance and impact of the guidelines internationally, included below are references to published Open Access article in a peer reviewed journal and third party external websites that refer to the guidelines, response to the guidelines and their importance internationally.

Sustainability and Environmental Guidelines

[edit]

The full joint declaration on environmental guidelines between IIC and ICOM-CC was published in September 2014 following discussion at the ICOM-CC Melbourne Conference (September 15–19, 2014) and IIC Hong Kong Congress (September 22–26, 2014). The guidelines[1] [2] [3]cover: • Sustainability and Management • Museum Environment • Loans • Existing Guidelines.
